Found during a night tour. Wings are white and expanded with black diagonal stripes. Eyes are red, estimated wing span of 2 cm. Antennae are folded back.

  1. Family Crambidae, best guess Zebronia phenice. Check: http://www.africanmoths.com/pages/z%20MADAGASCAR/crambidae/m%20zebronia%20phenice.html But i'm not an expert in Heterocera moths, far way from that. Please confirm. ''Zebronia phenice'' is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Stoll in 1782. It is found in Cameroon, Mayotte, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, La Réunion, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Gambia, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The larvae feed on ''Zizyphus mauritiana'', ''Spathodea campanulata'', ''Tecoma'' and ''Stenotaphrum'' species.
