    I believe it is a male sub-adult Crocothemis servilia, it has that characteristic clear band between the wings (absent in M.cora), abdomen black line marking much more thiner, and the broader yellow on the basis of the back wings, and the shape and color of the pterostigmas are quite different, too.     1. Thank you for your comment, you certainly know a lot more than I do! I had used odonata of Singapore for ID and it looked the closest...
      OK, i have checked it out, I knew the bright red males but never guessed about the juveniles. Looks like I have a lot to learn.
