Three-Toed Sloth We were in a restaurant next to the road in Manuel Antonio. The restaurant had a terrace that faced the forest from a top point of view. This is how we saw this sloth at canopy view side. The sloth was eating fruits in this tree and after moving a bit it settled to sleep in oe of the branches. April, 2014. The brown-throated sloth is a species of three-toed sloth found in the neotropical ecozone. It is the most common of the four species of three-toed sloth, and is found in the forests of South and Central America.
