  1. I'm affraid you are wrong about both species. You have identified the moth as the Old world hummingbird hawk-moth. It should not be confused with the moths called hummingbird clearwing moths in North America, genus ''Hemaris''. This could be either Hemaris thysbe or Hemaris gracilis, the wing pattern is not very clear.

    The flower is Buddleja davidii, also called summer lilac or butterfly-bush.
