The Tiny beauty
At just around 1.5cm it is the smallest and the most colorful night frog i have ever come across. It is an endemic and endangered species.
There were calling from all around. The frogs being small and resting under leaf litter and rocks it was very difficult to see one. All i could do is listen to
their calls. I didn't want to disturb the leaf litter and search, as there were chances of presence of eggs.
Then after about 20 minutes of skimming the surface, this tiny chap showed himself!! It was the only specimen i could see. After taking some images left the place in search of other gems!!

''Nyctibatrachus beddomii'' is a species of frog in the Nyctibatrachidae family. The epithet or specific name, ''beddomii'', honors Colonel Richard Henry Beddome , British naturalist and military officer.

I can relate to how cool such findings are, found a few small and well camouflaged ones in the north of Madagascar:
