In all Odonata (Dragonflies and damselflies) male specimens the bending of the abdomen is a mechanism used to sperm transference to secondary genitalia.

  Yes, its a cleanup ;) in the image it is possible to spot some cowebs strings attached to the genitalia. With this movement female also help themselves to move eggs from the basis of the abdomen to the edge of its genitalia, however, in all Odonata (Dragonflies and damselflies) male specimens the bending of the abdomen is a mechanism used to transfer sperm to the secondary genitalia.
