Cortinarius incognitus Ammirati & Smith subgenus Dermocybe Cap 1.5-6cm across; broadly conic, then flattish with a low umbo; yellowish brown to cinnamon; appressed fibrillose. Gills adnate to sinuate; amber yellow at first, then more rusty. Stem 20-60 x 2-8mm, equal or tapering downward; pallid yellowish, base rusty brown or darker; surface fibrillose.
