Peyrieras Pygmy Chameleon on leaf in Nosy Mangabe - closeup, Madagascar
A beautiful member of the very interesting family of Brookesia chameleons, often tiny in appearance and well camouflaged. The leaf gives an idea of its small size. Found on the island of Nosy Mangabe, which we had all to ourselves on this day.

''Brookesia peyrierasi'' is a diminutive chameleon from north-eastern Madagascar. It is known commonly as Peyrieras' pygmy chameleon, named after the herpetologist André Peyriéras.
