  1. Was this guy white? If so he's a Bengal tiger. Despite the name, that really sounds like they ought to be white, there are no substantiated incidences of white Siberian tigers in the wild and no white Siberian tigers have been born in captivity. It is thought that the white gene mutation may not be present in them. In b+w it's a little hard to tell if he's just light. Posted 9 years ago, modified 9 years ago

The Siberian tiger, also known as the Amur tiger, is a tiger subspecies inhabiting mainly the Sikhote Alin mountain region with a small subpopulation in southwest Primorye province in the Russian Far East.
