  1. I have to ask, how on earth did you get both the antennae and the body in focus at the same time? It's something I never manage to do. Focus stacking? Posted 9 years ago
    1. This is a single capture, Ferdy. It is very hard to focus antennae with the rest of the body because they are always moving, and in oposite directions. After a few "dozen" shots i manage to had the srike to capture them entirely with the rest of the body. So, shall i say that persistence was the main factor. In this particular day we count lots of z.rhadamanthus. Almost the entire morning was dedicated to a single species* cheers! Posted 9 years ago

"Zygaena rhadamanthus" is a species of moth in the Zygaenidae family. It is found in France, Spain, Portugal and Italy. The larvae feed on "Onobrychis", "Dorycnium pentaphyllum" and "Lotus" species. The species overwinters in the larval stage.
