    1. Thanks a lot, Wendy! and it was very difficult to spot... the background is a dry river bed, and the color of the dry branch is almost the same. Something was moving, and there it was ;) i almost run out a memory card doing this frames. After 30 min or so, i found the Mantis religiosa, and there were a few shots remain... "Iris oratoria" is a widespread species of praying mantis native to Europe. It is found as an introduced species in the Middle East, Western Asia and the United States. "Iris oratoria" invaded southern California in the 1930s and seems to be spreading.
