Perseids at Cherry Springs This was taken during the Perseid Meteor Shower this past August, and was my first attempt at astrophotography. The camera I used was the Sony A7 with a Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye lens and the photo itself was a 10 second long exposure. I was camping in the area around Cherry Springs State Park in Pennsylvania, a site considered to be one of the darkest places on the eastern seaboard. This park was beautiful and the view of the sky was amazingly clear. I have never seen our own Milky Way in such extraordinary detail. 1. Great shot, I tried to get some shots but we have far too much light pollution. Posted 9 years ago
    1. Thank you! Yeah it's tough, if you live in a light polluted area you have to stay up till, or get up at, around 2am to see anything. Posted 9 years ago
