  1. I can certainly see the difference between the Northern and Southern, in the South they are more orange but in the North they seem to be distinctly more red. Lovely to see one! Posted 10 years ago

The northern red bishop or orange bishop is a weaver belonging to the family Ploceidae. It was formerly regarded as a subspecies of the southern red bishop of the southern half of Africa. The two are now usually classified as separate species.
