The Indian chameleon habitat One of the beautiful reptiles on the planet. The most unique feature of them, is their ability to move their eyes independently. As you can see in the image, one eye is pointed at me, the other probably in front or side. It has evolved to process the images from its each eye separately. What an evolution!
The placement of the eyes and the ability to move its eyes independently helps them to have a 360 degree vision. Chameleons are the only vertebrates to focus with one eye. Also chameleons hardly move their head. Observe their movement the next time you come across!
