    1. You can use the Edit details yellow icon above to change the title of the photo instead of writing it in a comment. If you know which species of cormorant it is, you can identify it from the Identify species icon. The location is also important for identifying the species. The Great Cormorant, known as the Great Black Cormorant across the Northern Hemisphere, the Black Cormorant in Australia and the Black Shag further south in New Zealand, is a widespread member of the cormorant family of seabirds. It breeds in much of the Old World and the Atlantic coast of North America.
