Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio glaucus) Despite missing nearly a quarter of it&#039;s right wing, this butterfly didn&#039;t seen to have any trouble flying.<br />

Note: This could be a Canadian Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio canadensis) instead, as both species look basically identical. Everything I&#039;ve found says the normal range for P. canadensis is farther north and/or east, so P. glaucus is probably correct. Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio glaucus)

Despite missing nearly a quarter of it's right wing, this butterfly didn't seen to have any trouble flying.

The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail is a species of swallowtail butterfly native to North America. It is one of the most familiar butterflies in the eastern United States, where it is common in many different habitats. It flies from spring to fall, during which it produces two to three broods.
