  2. It was a mere second before the butterfly flew off, holly blues are not known for their staying power nor for opening their wings wide, this was the first & only shot I got & yes, I agree, I'm not too happy about that bit of leaf either! Posted 14 years ago

The Holly Blue is a butterfly that belongs to the Lycaenids or Blues family and is native to Eurasia and North America. In India, it is known as the Hill Hedge Blue. The Hollie Blue is a beautiful butterfly, with pale silver-blue wings spotted with pale ivory dots.
