    1. Thanks Ant. I was walking along a private woodland on a farm where i used to live and i heard this rustle. I turned around and there she was stood about 4 or 5 metres max away from me. We stared at each other for a couple of seconds and i managed to get this capture before she disappeared back in to the woods. A special moment. Posted 10 years ago, modified 10 years ago

The red fox is the largest of the true foxes, as well as being the most geographically spread member of the Carnivora, being distributed across the entire northern hemisphere from the Arctic Circle to North Africa, Central America and the steppes of Asia.
