"Lagerstroemia indica", the crape myrtle is a species of flowering plant in the genus "Lagerstroemia" of the family Lythraceae. It is native to the Indian Subcontinent, and also to Southeast Asia, China, Korea and Japan.

Similar species: Myrtles, Evening Primroses.
