Cataglyphis velox Saw a number of these ants (Cataglyphis velox) around Corfu. They are *extremely* fast and they also run around with their gastor pointing up in the air. I&#039;m not sure of the reason behind this as yet.<br />
I liked this one because it was carrying a small flower around with it. Took a great number of shots to get a close up, in focus picture with their speed and erratic change of direction while moving! Saw a number of these ants (Cataglyphis velox) around Corfu. They are *extremely* fast and they also run around with their gastor pointing up in the air. I'm not sure of the reason behind this as yet.
I liked this one because it was carrying a small flower around with it. Took a great number of shots to get a close up, in focus picture with their speed and erratic change of direction while moving!
