    This was taken from a hide set up for badger watching......thoroughly recommended for those heading to Scotland. We were fortunate to see 8 badgers in the one evening.

The European badger

The European badger is a species of badger in the family Mustelidae and is native to almost all of Europe and some parts of the Middle East. Several subspecies are recognised; the nominate subspecies predominates over most of Europe.
