Canada Thistle
Went on an urban safari today - walked part of the way to the camera shop to get a new cable release and made a point to see what I could collect along the way. Many of these plants are non-native and some even invasive, but to live in the city you have to be tough, and rough and tumble all of today's are.

"Cirsium arvense" is a species of "Cirsium", native throughout Europe and northern Asia, and widely introduced elsewhere. The standard English name in its native area is Creeping Thistle.
