      1. It was too late when I found it last night and I didn't check for look alikes. According to the spread data Rajendra biguttata should be found in Sri Lanka. There are few photos and they are very different. I don't know what the difference is between these species, it could be on the second pair of wings that we cannot see here. Taxonomists cannot agree about the names either. It is a mess...

  2. The white bands are wider and elbowed in Rajendra biguttata. Rajendra perrottetii has more narrow bands without the bend. See descriptions here:

    The width of and bend in the fascia make me think this is probably Rajendra biguttata.

"Rajendra biguttata" is a moth in the family Erebidae. It was described by Francis Walker in 1855. It is found from southern India to north-eastern India and in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
