Rose_Ringed_Parakeet-Dutch_version-eating_is_a_swing_in_the_garden This was taken in my back garden in Amstelveen in the Netherlands in april 2015. I see these birds most days (especially in the months after young ones have been born) so it is just a case of getting the timing right. Psittacula krameri,Rose-ringed parakeet Click/tap to enlarge

The rose-ringed parakeet is a medium-sized parrot in the genus Psittacula, of the family Psittacidae. It has disjunct native ranges in Africa and the Indian Subcontinent, and is now introduced into many other parts of the world where feral populations have established themselves and are bred for the exotic pet trade.
