Cream Cloured Woodpecker cleaning a wing
This was seen from the restaurant of Sani Lodge. Sometimes you just have to sit and be still wait for nature to come to you (with some nice food and drink!). This is a female - the male has red malar feathers on the side of its face.

The cream-colored woodpecker is a species of woodpecker native to South America, from Colombia and the Guianas to Peru, Bolivia, and the eastern part of Brazil, including a southeast Brazil coastal strip.
