Mysterious frog in the Amazon Jungle

I find this frog to be gorgeous, it is red with white speckles, yet somewhat transparent as well. It is about the size of a human thumb. I wish I'd knew its name, not even our guide knew.

  1. My son just saw the pic and said, "Oh, a little turtle on a leaf!" So, we immediately agreed on calling this frog a "turtle-frog"... ;-) Posted 13 years ago
