The black-collared starling is a species of starling in the family Sturnidae. It is found in Brunei, Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry forests. In Thailand the collared starling is sometimes kept in captivity and taught to speak.
