  2. I was just saying the same exact thing about Starlings. They are considered to be an unwelcome bird at feeders because they usually arrive in flocks of at least 50 birds and they tend to devour every bit of food available to them. I happen to find them to be beautiful! I am so glad that I am not alone! Posted 9 years ago

The common starling or European starling (Sturnus vulgaris), also known simply as the starling in the British Isles, is a medium-sized passerine bird in the starling family, Sturnidae. It is about 20 cm (8 in) long and has glossy black plumage with a metallic sheen, which is speckled with white at some times of year.
