  1. Great photo, amazing how strong these little fellas are, bite force of over 1000psi! They need it to crush through bones, they do not waste anything from their kill.
    I notice this one has a radio collar, any idea the story behind this?

    1. the radio collar I was told was put in by a research group. they're studying the GPS coordinates of the matriarch. Posted 4 years ago

The spotted hyena , also known as the laughing hyena or tiger wolf, is a species of hyena native to Sub-Saharan Africa. It is listed as Least Concern by the IUCN on account of its widespread range and large numbers estimated at 10,000 individuals.
