  1. After 3years of trying I finally got a decent shot of this shy bird. The only way to get a good shot (in this country) is if spring is a little late, as it was this year, then there is a less foliage for the little blighters to hide in. Posted 10 years ago

The common nightingale or simply nightingale, also known as rufous nightingale, is a small passerine bird best known for its powerful and beautiful song. It was formerly classed as a member of the thrush family Turdidae, but is now more generally considered to be an Old World flycatcher, Muscicapidae.
