The Big Playful Cats, Leopard in Nairobi Kenya
On a tour around the Nairobi Nature trail, we stood waiting for this beautiful animal to come out from the bushes so we could take pictures but after waiting too long we decided to go round the fence to see if we could spot it. We were greeted by this amazing view of it playing about in the grass enjoying the warm savannah sun. Even big cats like to have some fun.
The African Leopard is a leopard subspecies occurring across most of sub-Saharan Africa. In 2008, the IUCN classified leopards as ''Near Threatened'', stating that they may soon qualify for the Vulnerable status due to habitat loss and fragmentation. They are becoming increasingly rare outside protected areas. The trend of the population is decreasing.
