Portuguese squill or Caribbean Jewels (Scilla peruviana)
This unusual looking plant blooms with delicate blue flowers. If you were to see it before it was in bloom, you may think that it was a rather homely looking plant, with no potential to have flowers, let alone pretty blues ones! What a surprisingly lovely plant!
"Scilla peruviana", the Portuguese squill, is a species of "Scilla" native to the western Mediterranean region in Iberia, Italy, and northwest Africa.
