Upside Down I took this photo in the Sabi Sands Game Concession adjacent to Kruger Park. This was on the second day that we found a mother and her two cubs. This little female was waiting for her turn on a kill and napping on some elephant dung. When another camera's shutter released from the vehicle, she looked straight at me and allowed me to capture this moment. Geotagged,Leopard,Panthera pardus,South Africa,Spring Click/tap to enlarge

The leopard is one of the five "big cats" in the genus "Panthera". It is a member of the Felidae family with a wide range in regions of sub-Saharan Africa, West Asia, the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia to Siberia. Fossil records found in Italy suggest that in the Pleistocene it ranged as far as Europe.
