
Willow warbler
These song birds which have now started to arrive back in the UK are almost identical to the Chiff Chaff and often live and feed in the same areas. As was the case with this pic. The only way to be sure, especially when they are at some distance is there song or call in the case of the Chiff Chaff are worlds apart.

The willow warbler is a very common and widespread leaf warbler which breeds throughout northern and temperate Europe and Asia, from Ireland east to the Anadyr River basin in eastern Siberia. It is strongly migratory, with almost all of the population wintering in sub-Saharan Africa.
