  2. lol - this is probably at least the 3 or 4th time I've photographed this plant. I've never been happy enough with the photos before to post any, but this time I went out knowing what it is and with an aim to get a photo I liked. Posted 10 years ago
  3. This is more likely Lycopodium annotinum. L. clavatum and the related L. lagopus will have leaves more densely arranged on the stems and each leaf is tipped with an elongate hair-like projection giving them a soft appearance Posted 7 years ago

''Spinulum annotinum'' is a species of clubmoss native to forests of the colder parts of North America , as well as Asia , and most of Europe.

''Spinulum annotinum'' is a common and widespread club-moss spreading by means of horizontal stems running along the surface of the ground. It is usually unbranched or sparingly branched, each branch containing a cone at the top. Leaves have minute teeth on their edges.
