Dragonfly

I am no expert on the IDs of insects but after a quick review I've come to the conclusion that it is a Western Clubtail. If anyone thinks differently let me know.

It is not the best view for an ID, however on the references below, the eyes are blue and the legs have more yellow. The curved stripe doesn't seem to match.

    I've been looking at a few Sympetrum species. The females are similar, but I couldn't find a perfect match among the ones I checked and there's plenty of them. Posted 10 years ago, modified 10 years ago

    The closest I've got is female or immature male Orthetrum cancellatum.

The Black-tailed skimmer

The black-tailed skimmer, "Orthetrum cancellatum", is a European and Asian dragonfly. It occurs nearly all over Europe except northern UK and Scandinavia; to the east, the range extends to Kashmir and Mongolia.
