Purple Crested Turaco
This photo was taken at World of Birds in Cape Town. World of Birds is the biggest bird park in southern Africa (if not the whole of Africa). The purple crested turaco (previously known as a purple crested lourie) is a fun bird to watch in the wild and has a very distinctive call.

The Purple-crested Turaco is a species of bird in the Musophagidae family. It is the National Bird of the Kingdom of Swaziland, and the crimson flight feathers of this and related Turaco species are important in the ceremonial regalia of the Swazi royal family.
