Asian Paradise Flycatcher (white male), Yala NP, Sri Lanka If you look closely, in the middle of the photo you can see a white male paradise flycatcher. A poor shot, but I&#039;m posting it as a reality shot, as this is often the kind of poor view you get spotting these forest birds.<br />

I&#039;m also posting it to yet again tell that our guide was wrong :) I told him this was a male, yet he insisted it is a female because it was white, and because the females have long tails. Both statements couldn&#039;t be more wrong, and even with documentation to prove it, he still did not admit it. Asian Paradise Flycatcher (white male), Yala NP, Sri Lanka

If you look closely, in the middle of the photo you can see a white male paradise flycatcher. A poor shot, but I'm posting it as a reality shot, as this is often the kind of poor view you get spotting these forest birds.

The Indian paradise flycatcher is a medium-sized passerine bird native to Asia, where it is widely distributed. As the global population is considered stable, it has been listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List since 2004. It is native to the Indian subcontinent, Central Asia and Myanmar.
