Broad-tail Hummingbird Broad-tailed Hummingbird perched on a dead juniper limb during the mid-day hours on an early spring day.  This colorful medium sized hummer was hanging out near a hiking trail in the 135 acres of the Randall Davey Audubon Sanctuary, which is bounded by thousands of acres of National Forest and Santa Fe River Watershed land.
