
Broad-tail Hummingbird
Broad-tailed Hummingbird perched on a dead juniper limb during the mid-day hours on an early spring day. This colorful medium sized hummer was hanging out near a hiking trail in the 135 acres of the Randall Davey Audubon Sanctuary, which is bounded by thousands of acres of National Forest and Santa Fe River Watershed land. The elevation was 7450 feet.
