    Nice - I've only ever spotted females and that's usually not for very long (as we've flushed them out of the brush…) Once one stayed put and at for a few seconds I was wondering how the chicken got up in the tree out in the middle of the woods :p Posted 10 years ago

The Dusky Grouse

The Dusky Grouse is a species of forest-dwelling grouse native to the Rocky Mountains in North America. It is closely related to the Sooty Grouse , and the two were previously considered a single species, the Blue Grouse.
