On the prowl... Cats get most of the attention in India, but i do hold a soft spot for the canines too. I had never seen any Jackals in this park until recently and now i have found two pairs!     1. Thanks! I'm not sure if it is my signature or just me trying to recreate the correct white balance to as close to the scene as possible. Either way, it seems I do favour the warmer side of life! :) Posted 10 years ago

The Indian jackal, also known as the Himalayan jackal is a subspecies of golden jackal native to Pakistan, India, Bhutan, Burma and Nepal. Its karyotype is quite different from that of its Eurasian and African counterparts.
