Common moorhen Obviously, the camera was pointed to the bigger birds and these moorhens were a bonus. I only noticed them while processing the photos. The Common Moorhen is a bird in the Rallidae family with an almost worldwide distribution. It lives around well-vegetated marshes, ponds, canals and other wetlands.
