Lake Kerkini overview 1
This is an overview of the North-East end of lake Kerkini where the river Struma enters the lake. In it's current state the lake is a man made reservoir. The dam is operating since 1982.
Here you can see mostly great cormorants, Dalmatian and great white pelicans, great crested grebes and black-headed gulls.

The Great Cormorant, known as the Great Black Cormorant across the Northern Hemisphere, the Black Cormorant in Australia and the Black Shag further south in New Zealand, is a widespread member of the cormorant family of seabirds. It breeds in much of the Old World and the Atlantic coast of North America.
