Phanom Bencha, Thailand
Thailand is a Land of cicadas - whether you’re on the edge of a rice-field, up in the mountains or in the middle of a busy city street, you’re never far away from the sound of cicadas. Cicadas produce their din by rapidly vibrating a drum-like membrane located on each side of the body. Only the males make this noise. Sometimes its terrible, but I love them.
1. We've neither cicada or crickets in the area where I live now. I must say I actually miss them and all of their racket... Posted 10 years ago
