Dark Brown woody mushrooms
Surprisingly, I'm having a really hard time finding anything like these… they were very thin and quite leathery to almost brittle. I figure they must be some sort of polypore, but most of those seem to have light/white pore surfaces and this one's underside was as dark as the surface. The stems were offset and dark brown too. Any insights would be greatly
appreciated.
It seems it is a very dark morph of coltricia cinnamomea - the other common coltricia around here, coltricia perennis, has a light colored pore surface. http://www.rogersmushrooms.com/gallery/DisplayBlock~bid~5834.asp

A little vase-shaped polypore, recognized by its silky, cinnamon cap. It is frequently found in moss along trails. When fresh, the cap surface has a sheen and is delicately zoned with concentric bands of cinnamon brown. The flesh is tough and leathery, and when sliced open is rusty brown or even orange.
