
The indian moon...
Ok... so as you can see, i have put a species on this and that might be a tad strange. However, "As part of the Apollo 12 mission, the camera from the Surveyor 3 probe was brought back from the Moon to Earth. On analyzing the camera it was found that the common bacterium Streptococcus mitis was alive on the camera. This was attributed by NASA to the camera not being sterilized on Earth prior to its launch two and a half years previously." Soooo are their still bacteria on the moon? Is it even the same species if they did survive? who knows! :)
The main reason i posted this pic was because I have only seen the moon 'bottom lit' whilst living in India. I think it is because of the proximity to the equator, but i can not be sure, i feel my googling quota is filled for today! :)
This post falls well and truly in many grey zones! As I am not too sure how to geotag it either! :)

On a small side note: you can actually see the state of the moon (waxing or waning) in the daylight planner, it will also take into account your location. In fact, you could back-date it exactly to the moment you captured this photo:
