
Heron
Striated heron (Striated Heron, Mangrove Heron or Little Heron) is a type of heron who migrated from North to South. This bird is a protected animal and hunting requires a hunting license. Its scientific name is Butorides striatus. It is quite shy and quiet most of the time. Gray, brownish colored young and clear line on their chests, their feet turned from yellow to reddish. This species is a species Heron (Puchong) most widely spread in Malaysia.

The striated heron is a small heron. Their breeding habitat is small wetlands in the Old World tropics from west Africa to Japan and Australia, and in South America. Vagrants have been recorded on oceanic islands, such as Chuuk and Yap in the Federated States of Micronesia, the Marianas and Palau.
