Wolf Spider - probably immature or female I&#039;m pretty sure this is a wolf spider, but there are quite a few different species, so it may be some time before I can positively ID her. - Update - I&#039;m pretty sure this is an alopecosa kochi. It could be a female, but for a wolf spider it was still quite small, and this early in the year I&#039;d guess it&#039;s still immature.<br />

Wolf Spider - probably immature or female

I'm pretty sure this is a wolf spider, but there are quite a few different species, so it may be some time before I can positively ID her. - Update - I'm pretty sure this is an alopecosa kochi. It could be a female, but for a wolf spider it was still quite small, and this early in the year I'd guess it's still immature.

      edit - I found a reference from the Burke Museum that says kochi is common in eastern WA and arculeata is rare, (and the differences are microscopic!) so I think I'm willing to say it's alopecosa kochi - cool.. didn't figure I'd ID this one, and at least not nearly this quickly
