
The Helenor Morpho is a Neotropical butterfly found in Panama, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Mexico, Surinam, French Guiana, Bolivia, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Honduras, Guatemala, Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina and in Trinidad and Tobago.

Sorry if it's against the rules to post a shot from captivity, I didn't actually mean to upload this. (I was going to upload a bunch of my shots, but then as they were uploading I closed the page (I hadn't checked the rules recently). I guess this one got uploaded.
EDIT: just realized that this was the first species of it's kind. I have some more pictures of this butterfly, but this was my only one of the bright blue wings. Posted 10 years ago, modified 10 years ago
