  1. Interesting species, in which country did you photograph it? Posted 10 years ago
    1. This was actually in a Butterfly Conservatory in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.
Sorry if it's against the rules to post a shot from captivity, I didn't actually mean to upload this. (I was going to upload a bunch of my shots, but then as they were uploading I closed the page (I hadn't checked the rules recently). I guess this one got uploaded.
EDIT: just realized that this was the first species of it's kind. I have some more pictures of this butterfly, but this was my only one of the bright blue wings.

      1. No worries Timothy, photos taken in captivity are perfectly allowed here, I'm very happy you uploaded it. The only reason I asked about the location is that we're trying to link as many photos as we can to countries. For example, I have now linked this photo to Canada. Check it out:

        http://www.jungledragon.com/wildlifemap/CA

You can now see Canada's map, a 2nd tab with photos, and a 3rd tab with species in that country. A very rich way to explore wildlife country by country. This will only work if we actually link photos to countries, hence my question. You can set the country yourself in the future by just using the "set country" button. If your photos was geotagged, it will automatically do this, no action required.
