Roodborstje Robin
It is a fairly stocky bird, and both males and females have a distinctive reddish-brown to orange throat. The tail is reddish brown (not red like the Redstart), back and abdomen light brown colored. The song can be heard all year. He starts the morning to sing when it is still dark. When in danger, he thrust the slogan 'tsik' out. A special feature of the robin that sing females, especially in autumn. Young birds have a speckled head and chest. The bird is 14 cm long. Conspecific males and females are very aggressive. Both in summer and in winter they fiercely defend their territory.
